It's Sunday and I'm feeling very thankful. 

• Dwaine got a deer, so we now have a freezer full of meat, some of which will be turned into sausage.
• The Redskins won their game today.  Always good when they win.
• I went to my quilt class today.  I'm becoming tempted to take up knitting just because of the fun women that show up at 2 pm Sunday afternoons to knit.  I'd love to hang out with them.  I'll have to remember my crochet hook and a project and see if they throw me out the window!  LOL
• Vincent adores the pajama pants I've been making him.  His favorite pair, so far:

He calls them his balloon pants!  Love that child.

Random thoughts on a lazy Friday

• I took the day off today.  I need a day off without people bugging me so I can catch up on several projects that I need to get done before Christmas.  And I know that Christmas isn't next week.  But I'm telling you that I've decided to sew way too many things for gifts this year and if I don't get a move on, I'll be out shopping on Christmas Adam! 
• Christmas Adam is December 23rd.  Adam came before Eve, so Christmas Adam is the day before Christmas Eve.  Ask anyone I grew up with.
• Dwaine and his brother, Les, just took off for hunting camp.  Les had drama getting here from Idaho Falls.  Long story ended up with him leaving his truck and the trailer with heat up there and getting a rental car and driving that down here.  So they're staying in tents this year.  And they really don't seem to mind.  They're weird.
• Plus side of drama is that I now have the keys and permission to drive a brand new rental car!  And I have several places to go over the next 6 days.  I will be sad when it's time to drive my old cars once more. 
• I figured out machine quilting last night.  Took a class.  Laughed a lot.  Spent $100 on an addition to my sewing machine to make this process easier.  It's been special ordered.  Hope to have it soon so I can, maybe, finish up a project or 6.
• And that's what I'm up to this Friday.  What's up in your world?

We found snow!

Went away for the weekend to Bear Lake.  It snowflaked on our drive there Friday afternoon.  Woke up Saturday morning to SNOW!  Woot!

I like the first snow of the season.  I even like snow up until Christmas.  Then I'll be tired of the snow.

The camera didn't go on our weekend with us, so you get craptastic cell phone pictures to see what it was like.  LOL

 

Nie Nie Support

Vincent, playing hard to catch

While we were on our mountain adventure yesterday, Vincent decided it was high time he took charge of the direction of our walk.  The path was only a suggestion and one my favorite 2 year old didn't take.  LOL

Yes, he's getting a cold.  And I tried to wipe his nose.  But each time I'd close in this would happen:

Vincent really enjoyed this walk in the forest.  Mainly because he was allowed to be the leader.  And in his world, it just doesn't get any better than that!

Fall is in the air

We went for a drive this evening up through the mountains to see the leaves as they are changing.  I don't remember an autumn where the leaves have seemed as bright as they are this year.
