1 ~ Jennifer at Conversion Diary does a 7 Quick Takes Friday thing and I'm gonna try it out here. Of course, most of my entries are quick takes. Heh.
2 ~ Zen Habits has an amazing entry about life lessons learned while training for a triathlon. After I got over my initial distaste for anything involving running, I really enjoyed reading this article.
3 ~ My magazine habit has come to a head this week. Seems like all my magazine subscriptions came in the mail in the past 3 or 4 days and I have a big old stack to read. And they all have red themed covers. Must be Christmas.
4 ~ Speaking of Christmas, I have 3 crafty/sewing projects in various stages of completion that are meant to be gifts. And there's one other project I need to start and finish for a gift for my grandma. And several sets of Christmas pajamas that need to be sewn. (I went a little nuts at Walmart last week and bought 35 yards of flannel)
5 ~ I'm still futzing around with my bread machine. This morning's loaf was much better overall, but still needs something. I have to say that having a slice of warm bread fresh from the machine is much more satisfying than a piece of toast at breakfast. Much!
6 ~ Gas is $1.89 a gallon at my neighborhood gas station. I wish there was a way to buy a whole bunch right now to save up for the future.
7 ~ Profound thought for the day:
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who are alive.” Howard Thurman
I have to say, even as a non-runner, that article from #2 was good. Love the quote, too.
Thanks for participating!

Fresh bread. My goal is to make bread that can be sliced to use with sandwiches. Mine is yummy and all, but I can't imagine using it for a sandwich, yk?

I love the quote you've shared here Kim - wonderful!
Gas at $1.89 - lucky you!! We're at $2.09, and I'm pretty happy with that...

Gas at less than $2. I asked my sons if, for their Eagle Scout project, they could build a storage tank in our yard. Sadly, the project cannot be for personal gain.

That's another thing I forgot to mention in my post today. Magazines. I just can't get enough of them.
