"Oh Brave New World, that has such people in't." ~ William Shakespeare - The Tempest
I attended Ballet West's performance of The Tempest last night. I wasn't familiar with this story. Or, as is with a lot of Shakespeare's plays, I didn't know what familiar stories and sayings had come from this piece of work. There was a scene where the three characters who were drunk through most of the first act are bitten by dogs. Hence "hair of the dog that bit you". It's the little things.
Anyway, this ballet was incredible! The dancers showed off skills that I hadn't seen in the ballet's I had attended in the past. Such athletic dancing! It was just wonderful!
If anyone lives in the Salt Lake City area, I'd recommend seeing this ballet.
I can't wait to go back and see this year's Nutcracker Ballet!
